Want to enjoy the Gold Coast on the weekdays and keep clear of the crowds? But are unsure of what great weekday activities on the Gold Coast are on offer?
Look no further as; being a local myself, I know the best places to escape the crowds via fun and adventurous weekday activities on the Gold Coast.
Obviously the best place to go when it’s nice and quite over the weekdays is to head straight to the beach! Whilst the Gold Coast beaches are famously amazing, the local crowds flock here over the weekends which makes visiting the beaches on the weekdays that much more relaxing.
There is nothing worse than heading to the beach on a beautiful day and not being able to find a park! This won’t happen during the weekdays, so be sure to check some of the Gold Coasts best beaches out then
This is not particularly one of those great weekday activities on the Gold Coast, but can too be great fun over the weekend, with the possibility of just a few more people in the boat.
The Gold Coast has some great dive sites to be explored and you may wish to check them out with our local dive shop Cooly Dive.
By far this is easily one of the best activities on the Gold Coast to undertake on a weekday as there is by far, less crowds than what you could expect during the weekends. If you have just moved to the Gold Coast and are looking to tick off some of the theme parks, be sure to make that a weekday event. You can also save big by purchasing a season pass to either one or a collection of the theme parks.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding
One of my favourite weekday activities on the Gold Coast is to go stand up paddle boarding. As a few of my mates own some stand up paddle boards I am lucky enough to be able to borrow one, most of the time. However if that is not an option, heading to Currumbin Boat Shed, where you can hire them right by Currumbin Creek and go for a scenic paddle.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
I haven’t been here for years! Although when it comes to a weekend with spectacular weather, everybody is out and about participating in many fun activities such as visiting the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Certainly a place to take the family on one of those delightful Gold Coast weekdays, where you can interact with the wildlife and learn a lot about the different species of animals we have not just here on the Gold Coast but all around Australia.
Skypoint Climb Q1
A popular visitor attraction and one to check out without a large group is the Sky Point Climb up on the Q1 Tower in Surfers Paradise. On a clear day you can see for miles and miles, some climbers have even claimed to see Byron Bay from the top.
If you are a thrill seeker and love heights, climbs and spectacular views, make this one of those weekday activities on the Gold Coast you will never forget!
Climb the Q1
Visit the Gold Coast Hinterland
Ah yes, the Gold Coast Hinterland is packed with things to do from, hiking, climbing, high ropes courses, views, restaurants, retreats, phenomenal drives and so much more. Really the list is endless, much like the places in and around the Gold Coast Hinterland to visit, especially on a weekday where you won’t be bothered by crowds all that much!
Hinterland retreats, spas, winery tours, forest canopy walks and waterfalls are just a few of the large range of really fun things to do during the week, without the weekend crowds. Be sure to do some research on the Gold Coast Hinterland and find something that best suits you.
This may not be for everyone, however, if you are a thrill seeking adrenalin lover, much like myself. Skydiving is sooo much fun! And a great way to see the Gold Coast from above!
You can do this down at Coolangatta and land on the beach! Such a great way to finish and I can remember how much fun my last dive was, less than a year ago! That reminds me, I should hit them up for another dive!
