So 4 years and 27 countries later. Finally the light turns
on. I’m living in Dahab, Egypt chatting to family and friends on facebook and
skype with the standard talk of how they wish they could also travel. “What
have I been doing?” I say to myself, not blogging that’s for sure, and consequently
I started. While I may, I wish to apologize to you all (especially my family
and friends) for not blogging sooner. I came to the realization that my blog
can help people travel by providing great destinations, tips, advice and a
great deal more.

You can follow me to see where I’ve have been, what I’ve
done and seen (past and present) and how you can do the same. No matter how
comfortable you are, whether you have a house, partner, dog or a mortgage,
everyone can travel whilst staying within their comfort zone; it’s a lot
cheaper and simpler than you may think, and thats where I come in. In this blog you find out how to visit these amazing destinations without blowing your budget.

About me – Jaryd Krause

about me
It was back in 2005, I first left my continent in search of waves on a surf trip to Tonga, not taking much that was the life changing
experience that inspired me to travel the world. Yep the travel bug had not
only bitten hard but left an incredible infection along with the itch to see
more and more.

Before traveling, completing my plumbing apprenticeship was always a must; I even continued further studies into a business and gas licensing course for something to fall back on if I was ever in need of work on my travels, not only for that, but for a “job when you return home” as mum and
dad would say. In 2009 with my car sold, no tie downs and a one way ticket, I
left an empty bedroom at my parents house. Now I am a 25 year old male, from
the Gold Coast Australia, setting about the world laughing, living and loving
life in every aspect.

I forbid wasting my time and money going from place to place, to solely have a few touristy confirmation happy snaps, tick it off the
list and be done with it, without learning anything. In my 80’s I want to wake
up and say “Hell yea I have lived”. So I am visiting places, meeting amazing people, witnessing their cultures, living how they live, eating what they eat and it’s all just the beginning.

Travelers have a list, it may not be the same
destinations, but certainly the same in the sense that it continually grows. Every time we arrive somewhere, speak to a fellow traveler who’s just been and done something amazing, on to the list it goes.

Whilst I’m on the road, I tend to look back to previous
months or further, remembering countries, cities and towns I’ve visited,
sharing experiences among such humble and welcoming people from different
cultures, this is what also urges me to see more of the world. I only wish
everybody could feel this at least once in their life be it from a holiday or
even a weekend trip away.
